1813 Henry Dearborn Signed Financial Document (Revolutionary War, Major General) 

Henry Dearborn (1751-1829) signed cashiers/ check draft made on State Bank, Boston dated September 30, 1813. An important figure in the Revolutionary War and political figure serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and later Secretary of War under Thomas Jefferson. In the Revolutionary War Dearborn served under Benedict Arnold and was captured during his expedition to Quebec. He later served in George Washington’s Continental Army and was present at the British surrender at Yorktown. Dearborn achieved the rank of Major General.
