Miep Gies and Husband Signed FDC Envelope (Hid Ann Frank from Nazis During WWII)  

Miep Gies and her husband have signed this First day Cover (FDC) envelope commemorating Peace. Gies was a brave Dutch citizen who hid Jews including Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis during WWII in the attic of Anne’s fathers business from they were working. Gies retrieved Anne Frank’s diary after her arrest after hiding for more than 2 years. Gies kept the diary safe and returned them to Anne’s father Otto after his release from Auschwitz and learning of Anne’s death who the first published the diary in 1947. Very good condition. 6.5 X 3.5. Comes with a Gotta Have It! Certificate of Authenticity.
