Rolling Stones magazine photojournalist Robert Altman took this photograph of the Hells Angels at Altamont (1969) that has been printed from his original negative and signed "Robert Altman 2002." The 8 X 10 original silver gelatin print has also been signed and notated by Altman on the verso. The Hells Angels motorcycle gang were acting as informal security during the event and were infamously involved in a melee and stabbing death in front of the stage as the Rolling Stones performed on stage.
