Rock and Blues guitar legend Eric Clapton plays his Fender Stratocaster on stage in this original 9.5 x 12 black and white photograph. The photograph is back stamped by the photographer Simon Fowler, dated July 19th 1978. Clapton rose to fame in the 1960’s with the Yardbirds, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream and Blind Faith, then launched his solo career in 1970. This photograph captures Clapton during his “Slowhand” Tour after the highly successful album was released, in November 1977 with such classics “After Midnight”, “Lay Down Sally, “Wonderful Tonight” and “Cocaine”.
